Frequently asked questions about our mail order pie delivery service

The available delivery date depends on when you place your order. We use an overnight courier so your order will be delivered the day after it is collected from us.

Our online pie orders are delivered on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and you can choose the delivery date via the checkout process. Please bear this in mind when you place your order for mail order pies. You can select a delivery date upto 3 months in the future.

Order by 7am Monday for Wednesday delivery.
Order by 7am Tuesday for Thursday delivery.
Order by 7am Wednesday for Friday delivery.
Order by 7am Thursday for Saturday delivery.

If a day is not available it is most likely fully booked already.

Orders that do not include any perishable food are normally delivered via Royal Mail and dispatched on receipt.

PIES

For orders of pies and/or fresh liquor our standard delivery options cover all of the UK mainland.

This includes England, Scotland & Wales excluding Scottish Highlands and Islands and the Isle of Wight.

Should you require a delivery outside of these areas please contact us to discuss your options before placing your order. An additional delivery charge may be levied if delivery is possible.

NON-PERISHABLE

Non-perishable items such as vinegars, pie tins, mugs and instant liquor are usually sent via Royal Mail. These can be posted to all of the UK.

Orders for pies/fresh liquor can be delivered on the following days:

Wednesday
Friday
Saturday

You can choose your preferred date during the checkout process and you can also place orders in advance.

Non-perishable items (mugs/vinegar etc) are dispatched on receipt of your order via Royal Mail and generally arrive in 5-7 days.

We use nationwide overnight couriers to deliver all of our food orders within the UK. On the day of delivery you will receive an email or text regarding your delivery and the time slot. If necessary, you can alter the delivery by telling the driver to leave it somewhere safe or with a specific neighbour. You cannot change the day of the delivery.

Yes. All orders that include pies/liquor will be sent via our parcel courier. On the morning of delivery you will receive an email or text with the tracking information. After this you should also receive notification of a one hour slot for delivery.

Items that are posted via Royal Mail cannot be tracked and can take 5-7 days to arrive.

ORDERS FOR PIES/PERISHABLE ITEMS

Our parcel couriers are allowed to leave your parcel if there is no answer at your property. This may be with a neighbour or left in a safe place. On the day of delivery you will receive an email or text regarding your delivery and the time slot. If necessary, you can alter the delivery by telling the driver to leave it somewhere safe or with a specific neighbour. At this point you cannot change the day of the delivery.

As the boxes we use are insulated your food will be kept cool during this time.

NON-PERISHABLE ORDERS (MUGS, PIE TINS ETC)

These will be delivered by your postman. If you are out it is possible they will return the parcel to your local Royal Mail depot.

Yes, of course.

You can choose any delivery address within mainland UK. This could be your home, place of work or a different address.

Each order is cooked and chilled individually for each customer.

The food is then carefully packed into specially designed insulated boxes. Ice packs are then added to ensure the temperature during transit is low enough for the food to arrive safely.

Our fresh mash and liquor are packed with 2 portions in each carton or pouch.

  • If you order 6 pies and 6 liquor you will receive 3 pouches of fresh liquor
  • If you order 4 pies with mash and liquor you will receive 2 cartons of mash and 2 pouches of liquor

Both items can be frozen. Please fully defrost before reheating.

These pies are suitable for vegetarians:

  • Cheese and onion pie
  • Cheese, potato and onion pie
  • Root vegetable pie
  • Tuscan bean pie (also suitable for Vegans)
  • Soya mince pie in gravy (also suitable for Vegans)

Unless you intend freezing them, pies should be removed from their delivery box and placed in the fridge as soon as you have received them.

Please consume within 4 days.

Yes our mail order pies can be frozen so they can be eaten at a later date.

For maximum quality, please remove from the delivery box and place in your freezer on the day of delivery. We suggest pies are kept frozen for a maximum of 6 months.

Frozen pies should be fully defrosted, preferably in a fridge, before reheating.

The delivery fee is automatically shown in the shopping cart as products are added. Not all products have a standard delivery charge and the maximum charge is £6.95.

Gift vouchers are sent in the post at a cost of £0.75. Some of our mugs are shipped direct to you, these will have their own delivery costs.

Most pie orders will be delivered by 12pm but can arrive up to 5pm on the day of delivery.

Orders over £75 enjoy FREE standard delivery.

Yes, payments can be made securely via PayPal or Stripe.

We will also never email you asking for your card details or PIN number.

Our preferred method of receiving orders is via our website.

However, should you have difficulty in using either the website or the payment system please call us for assistance.
